SCHOLARSHIP IMPACT

Diana Cotto '11
A member of the Class of 2011, Diana Cotto graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies, and minors in Spanish and philosophy. Thanks to the University’s support, she was able to accomplish the goals she set for herself and she believes the Professor Arlene Holpp-Scala Scholarship made a significant difference in her ability to complete her education. Deborah Lauren Kendrick '12
Deborah Lauren Kendrick believes the financial assistance she has received from the Charles Allen Anderson, Wienke-Mault, and Herbert Goldstein Scholarships has allowed her to focus on her academics and to make the most of the many University experiences at William Paterson. (read more)

Destinymarie Richardson '13
Destinymarie Richardson has been the honored recipient of the Roosevelt “Chris” McCollum Scholarship for the past three years, which she credits as a catalyst to success. As the oldest of three children raised by a single mother, Destinymarie Richardson is proud to be setting a good example for her sisters. She is a junior majoring in communication, as well as English (writing).(read more)

Laura Jo Rieske '12
Despite her family’s support, Laura Jo Rieske believes she would not have had the opportunity to pursue higher education or reach her full potential as an undergraduate without financial help. As an Honors scholar, a Rummel scholar, and a New Trustee scholar, these awards have not only enabled her to work towards a degree, but allowed her to look forward to continue her education. Nicholas Scheibner '11
Nicholas Scheibner believes that William Paterson, through the financial assistance of his scholarships, gave him the flexibility to make the Dean’s List every semester and provided him with the academic knowledge to discover and pursue his dream of a career in finance. After graduating in the spring of 2011, Mr. Scheibner joined the Baron Financial Group, LLC in Fair Lawn, NJ as a financial planner. (read more)
