University’s Hobart Manor to hold “Dressed for the Holidays” Tours on Friday, December 6, 2019

Hobart Manor

Hobart Manor Ornament

Hobart Manor, a centerpiece of the William Paterson University campus, will be open to the public for viewing while “dressed for the holidays” on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person and will benefit the Hobart Manor Restoration Fund.

“We appreciate all the support that has been received to maintain this beautiful, historic building on our campus and hope that everyone has the opportunity to view the holiday décor this season,” says Pamela Ferguson, vice president for Institutional Advancement.

Each public room will be decorated with a different holiday theme to capture the spirit of the season. Knowledgeable docents will be available throughout to answer questions about the beautiful nineteenth century Tudor style estate, recognized on the National and New Jersey Registers of Historical Places for its architectural and historical significance.

And just in time for the holidays, a Hobart Manor Holiday Keepsake Ornament, a pearl glass ornament featuring an image of Hobart Manor, is available for a tax-deductible donation of $15, that will benefit the Hobart Manor Restoration Fund. The ornament can be purchased at www.wpunj.edu/ornament or at the event on Friday, December 6.
