Legendary Singer Darlene Love Brings “Love for the Holidays” to William Paterson on December 11


Darlene Love, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame who is considered to be one of the greatest singers of all time, brings her Christmas show, “Love for the Holidays, to William Paterson University on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The performance will be held in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $85 for Gold Circle, $75 for orchestra and front loge; and $60 for rear loge. Discounts are available for WP employees, students, senior citizens and groups of 10 or more. Tickets are available at the Shea Center Box Office in advance at 973.720.2371 or wp-presents.org.

Through the years, Darlene Love has continued to captivate audiences worldwide with her warm, gracious stage presence and superb performances. Her film Twenty Feet from Stardom was awarded an Academy Award, as well as a Grammy Award for the soundtrack. Her Billboard hits include He’s a Rebel, The Boy I’m Gonna Marry, Wait ‘Til Bobby Gets Home, He’s Sure the Boy I Love, and the legendary number one holiday classic Christmas Baby Please Come Home, a song she performed annually with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Symphony Orchestra on The Late Show With David Letterman for nearly 30 years before Letterman retired. To continue this long-standing tradition, she performs a number of special Christmas shows every year.

She has more than 40 credits on musical soundtracks ranging from movies to television series dating back to the 1960s. Some of her soundtrack features include: The View, SNL, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two, American Horror Story, Pose, Father of the Bride, GoodFellas, and Gremlins, to name a few. Love received her industry’s highest award when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Rolling Stone magazine has proclaimed her to be “one of the greatest singers of all time.”
