William Paterson University Presents DAYBREAK: The Music and Passion of Barry Manilow on April 11

DAYBREAK: The Music and Passion of Barry Manilow, a tribute to one of the most successful pop artists of all time, comes to the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University in Wayne on Friday, April 11, 2025. The show, part of the University’s WP Presents! series, begins at 8 p.m.

Barry Manilow recorded and released 51 Top 40 singles, including 13 that reached number one. He became an international star with a string of hits combining heart on the sleeve sentiment, with lyrical pop craftsmanship and a slick, highly orchestrated production.

Led by veteran musician and accomplished pianist Joe Hite, DAYBREAK takes the audience on a journey back to the 1970s. The show, featuring an eight-piece ensemble, brings to life timeless classics like “Mandy,” “Can’t Smile Without You,” and the foot-stomping rhythm of “Copacabana,” just to name a few.

Tickets are $54, Gold Circle; $49 for orchestra; $39 for rear orchestra/front loge, and $35, rear loge. There is a 10 percent discount for William Paterson faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as senior citizens. To purchase tickets, or for additional information, call the Shea Center for Performing Arts Box Office at 973-720-2371 or visit wp-presents.org.
