It’s your time to shine! Commencement at William Paterson University provides an opportunity for you to celebrate your achievements and this important milestone with your family, friends, faculty, alumni, and the entire University community.
This year, formal ceremonies will once again be held for undergraduate and graduate degree recipients—one for undergraduates at the Prudential Center in Newark, and two for graduate students held on campus in Wightman Stadium. The ceremonies will celebrate students receiving their degrees in Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.
Graduate Ceremonies (master’s and doctoral degrees)
Due to inclement weather, William Paterson University's Graduate Commencement ceremonies, previously scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, are being rescheduled to the announced rain date of Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Ceremonies will be held in Wightman Stadium on campus at the same times as previously scheduled:
10:00 a.m. | College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences | College of Science and Health
Graduates to arrive at 8:30 a.m. | Stadium opens for guests at 9:00 a.m.
5:00 p.m. | Cotsakos College of Business | College of Education
Graduates to arrive at 3:30 p.m. | Stadium opens for guests at 4:00 p.m.
