“The Amazing Adventures of Peter Rabbit,” a musical for children by the Connecticut Children’s Theatre, will be presented on Sunday, April 25 in Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. The show includes original music, sing-a-longs and audience participation.
The performance begins at 2 p.m. Free pre-show activities, including arts and crafts related to the theme of the show, begin at 1:15 p.m., and there is a post-show session to meet the actors and get their autographs. Parents are invited to bring their cameras. All tickets are $9.The production is appropriate for children in grades pre-K to 5.
“The Amazing Adventures of Peter Rabbit” brings the beloved children’s classic by Beatrix Potter to life. When Peter Rabbit sets out to test his limits and explore Farmer MacGregor’s garden, he gets caught by the “rip-snortin’ hungry for rabbit stew” MacGregors. With lively music including pop-style songs, lullaby ballads and a rousing gospel number, this is the most popular show performed by Connecticut children’s Theatre.
Since 1991, the Connecticut Children’s Theatre and its New York-based artists have created 33 new musicals for hundreds of thousands of children, each with educator-approved themes for curriculum integration.
