William Paterson University Offers Summer Camps for Middle and High School Students

---A ten percent discount on many programs is in effect for a limited time

More than forty specialized and traditional summer camps designed specifically for middle and high school students will be held on the campus of William Paterson University in Wayne during July and August.

Students can attend half-day sessions or may choose full-day camps. Many successful camps are returning this year including Rock-In Summer, Money and Investing, CSI Forensics, Drawing Marathon, Gear Up for Science, Web Design, and Flash Animation. These one-week commuter camps run from June 28 to August 13.

For the week of July 18 to 24, high school students may choose to live on campus in a residence hall. In addition to the daytime camps, students will have the opportunity to participate in evening activities including swimming in the University’s competition-sized pool, and use the sports equipment in the Rec Center.

Camps offered this week include the annual Jazz Workshop, the Writing Institute, Guitar Workshop, Acting and Video Production, Future Nurses Workshop, Digital Photography and the Summer Sales Camp.

The Summer Life on Campus program is for students in grades six to ten, who can opt to come up to five days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., for one to seven weeks. This program is offered in conjunction with the Wayne Community Program, and provides students the opportunity to participate in career-related workshops, organized recreational games, and swimming, among other activities. This program includes lunch, field trips, and before and after care.

A ten percent discount on many programs is in effect for a limited time. To view the full schedule of summer camps and programs, including dates and fees, visit: http://www.wpunj.edu/cpe/Youth-Programs.html. There is also a link to a video tour of last summer’s Youth Program highlights.
