“Chuckleball,” Musical Revue That Lampoons Sports, to be Presented at William Paterson University on October 29

The foibles, felonies, and fumbles of today’s sports headlines are all fair game in the satirical musical revue “Chuckleball,” which will be staged at William Paterson University in Wayne on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 8 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

Enjoyed by sports and theater fans, “Chuckleball” lampoons and celebrates the craziness of sports news. The show is a packed performance of impressions and parody songs mocking everything from national sports headlines to regional articles about baseball, football, basketball, hockey, professional wrestling and more. Created by New Jersey native Jason Goldstein, “Chuckleball” played off-Broadway at the Snapple Theater Center during the fall of 2007, and has since gone on to play in Philadelphia as well as college, theater, and corporate dates.

Tickets for “Chuckleball” are $20 orchestra, $15 front loge, and $10 rear loge. Discounts are available for William Paterson University alumni, faculty, staff, students, and senior citizens. For tickets or information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
