William Paterson University to Present Play “TOGDOG/UNDERDOG” October 18 to 23

“TOPDOG/UNDERDOG,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Suzan-Lori Parks, will be staged at William Paterson University in Wayne from October 18 to 23 in the University’s Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus. The play follows the lives of two African American brothers, Lincoln and Booth, as they deal with work, women, racism, poverty, and gambling.

The performances will be held October 18 to 22 at 8 p.m., October 21 at 11 a.m., and October 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 general admission and $9 for students, seniors, and members of the William Paterson University community.

The play will be directed by Elizabeth Stroppel, William Paterson University associate professor of communication. The play stars Jamal Magee of Sicklerville, Derek Simmons of Scotch Plains, Thomas Aiellos of Hackensack and Emeka Nwafor of Maplewood.
