“Babes in Toyland,” a contemporary adaptation of the classic holiday tale presented by American Family Theater, will be staged at William Paterson University in Wayne on Sunday, December 11 at 2 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.
Free pre-show activities begin at 1:15 p.m., and there is a post-show autograph session. All tickets are $10. The show is appropriate for grades pre-K through 5. Parents are welcome to bring their cameras.
This production of “Babes in Toyland” brings to life Jack and Jill, the toy soldiers, and all the friends who share adventures in Toyland and the Magic forest, This new version features songs introduced in the 1903 original, as well as several newly created songs that will encourage audience participation.
