INFORMATION FOR
Academic integrity refers to the values of being honest and ethical in one’s academic work. Its opposite is academic dishonesty. The following are some but not necessarily all of the examples of behaviors that constitute academic dishonesty: The unauthorized use or attempted use of material, information, notes, study aids, devices or communication during an academic exercise or test. The following are some examples of these, but by no means is it an exhaustive list:
• Using notes during an examination.
• Leaving the testing area during an examination.
• Taking an examination for someone else or asking or allowing another to take an examination for you.
• Seeking the aid of some else during an examination.
• Giving assistance to acts of academic misconduct/dishonesty.
• Unauthorized use during an examination of any electronic devices such as cell phones, computers or other technologies to retrieve, save or send information.
• Gaining aid or attempting to gain aid in answering examination questions using any electronic devices, materials, individuals or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Attempting to circumvent or interfere with any of the security features in the remote testing environment, included usage of excessive sound or lighting, highly reduced lighting, camera positioning or microphone manipulation.
• Not completing an effective environment scan or not positioning the camera to allow viewing of your desktop during the entire testing process when testing remotely will result in your test video being deemed unusable.
VIOLATIONS OF ANY ONE OF THESE CONDITIONS WILL RESULT IN YOUR TEST SCORES BEING NULLIFIED.
