Important Dates and Refund Information

2026-2027 Semester Dates

Fall Move In is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026 and Monday, August 24, 2026. New and Continuing students can sign up to move in on either date. Signups will be available in August through the housing portal.

All students will need to sign up for a date and time to move in for the fall semester. The sign up procedure will be sent via email in early August with roommate and housing assignment information.

Fall 2026 Residential Refund Information 

Refunds for housing charges are determine by a percentage scale, determined by the Official Date of Cancellation.

Fall 2026 (Traditional Housing Contract Dates and 9-Month Housing)

If your Official Cancellation is...  You are eligible for a refund of... 
August 21st or earlier 100%*
Between August 22nd and September 2nd  90%
Between September 3rd and September 28th 50%
September 29th or later 0%

*100% refunds are only available for students who have not started occupancy.  Students who begin occupancy are only eligible for a maximum refund of 90%. 

Resident students who have a room assignment and do not move in will be assessed a 10% cancellation fee.  

Thanksgiving Break

The residence halls will close for Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 6:00pm.

The residence halls will re-open after Thanksgiving Break on Sunday, November 29, 2026 at 12:00pm.

*All students, unless they are in an approved 9-month housing contract are required to leave campus for Thanksgiving Break.

Fall 2026 Semester Closing

The residence halls will close for the Fall semester on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at 12:00pm.

*All students, unless they are in an approved 9-month housing contract are required to leave campus for Winter Break.

Spring 2027 Semester Opening

Spring Move In is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, 2027 and Wednesday, January 20, 2027. New and Continuing students can sign up to move in on either date.

All students will need to sign up for a date and time to move in for the spring semester. The sign up procedure will be sent via email in early January with more details.

Spring Break

The residence halls will close for Spring Break on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at 12:00pm.

The residence halls will re-open after Spring Break on Sunday, March 21, 2027 at 12:00pm.

*All students, unless they are in an approved 9-month housing contract are required to leave campus for Spring Break.

Spring 2027 Semester Closing

The residence halls will close for the Spring semester on Wednesday, May 12, 2027 at 4:00pm.

*All students, including those in 9-month contracts, unless they are in-contract for summer housing and approved for extended stay will be required to fully check-out by the above date and time.
