Join ASLHS Chapter at William Paterson University

Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, Omega Upsilon Chapter at William Paterson University was founded in 2022.
To be considered to join the ASLHS, the student must meet the membership requirements, complete the application, and pay a one-time membership fee of $95.
Once the payment and application are received, our office will send information about registering for the induction ceremony. This ceremony occurs virtually via Zoom and in-person at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters.

As a member of the society:

Students will participate in quarterly meetings held virtually that focuses on fundraisers and community service events.
Students will receive:
- Membership certificate
- If you are graduating in May, we will provide you with honor cords and stoles to wear at your graduation ceremony

An adult learner is defined as a student who meets one or more of the following criteria: is 24 years of age or older; works more than 30 hours per week; is financially independent; has dependents; and/or has veteran status.
Residency Requirement: Student members must have completed a minimum of twenty-four (24) graded semester hours for a baccalaureate degree and shall be matriculated students in an undergraduate degree program. (This does not include transfer credits.)
Those selected must have a minimum grade point index of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The cumulative scholastic record of the student as interpreted by William Paterson University shall be the basis for computing scholastic eligibility.
