NJ DOE Educator Preparation Provider Performance Reports Educator Preparation Provider Performance Reports are provided by the NJ Department of Education and provide transparent data on teacher preparation providers and outcomes. These reports include information on newly certified Certificate of Eligibility (CE) and Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) teachers' certification and hiring, placement, classroom assignment, demographics, education program, and testing results. Each report reflects information for a specific cohort. The goal of this report is to share the available state data on novice teachers that recently earned a New Jersey Instructional certificate. It was developed to measure the COE alumni: 1) level of satisfaction with their program, and 2) perception of their degree of preparation in content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and practice, professional responsibility and understanding learners. The Alumni Survey is administrated to all graduates, one-year and five-years after completion of their program. The survey is sent via email for each of the graduation dates (August, January, May). The guidance document for the Alumni Survey provides users with its purpose, clear descriptors and a detailed rating scale. Graduates are familiar with the instrument as it reflects the competencies on which they were evaluated on during their preparation programs. The College of Education’s Employer Survey The Employer Survey is intended to provide feedback to the COE on how well program completers are performing in their roles as educators and whether employers would continue to hire WP graduates. It was designed to measure: 1) employers’ level of satisfaction of our graduates and 2) employers’ perceptions of our graduates’ degree of preparation in content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and practice, professional responsibility, and understanding learners. It is administered each spring. Graduation Rates The graduation rates for the College of Education are compiled from the Office of Institutional Research and Advancement. Student Loan Default Rates The US Department of Education issues official cohort default rates that are the percentage of school borrowers who enter repayment on certain federal education loan programs or William D. Ford federal direct loan program. Loans during a particular fiscal year (FY - October 1 to September 30) and default or meet other specified conditions prior to the end of the second following fiscal year.
